Among horizontal juicers the competition is tough, but the 8008 from Omega definitely earns a spot in the recommendation books. Designed as a true update to the infamous 8006, this juicer takes a lot of inspiration from its predecessor while improving on some of its weaker points. As a result it now benefits from a pressure adjusting nozzle and a couple of other helpful perks, yet retains a high build quality and slow juicing speed.

An Enjoyable Experience

Omega have always excelled at designing easy to use horizontal juicers and the 8008 follows that trend perfectly. Not only does it comfortably handle a wide array of ingredients with ease, but it also benefits from great features such as an inbuilt handle and a wider feed funnel. These may not seem like huge differences, but they do make a noticeable impact on user comfort, reducing mess and making the 8008 easier to transport overall.

Advanced Juicing

Another of the many charms of the 8008 come in the form of its high quality juice production ability. As a slow juicer it is able to extract loads of nutrients from ingredients, forming a healthy end product rich in minerals and vitamins. Yet as an added benefit the 8008 goes even further beyond thanks to a pressure adjusting nozzle. This allows varying amounts of pressure to be applied to different ingredients, increasing the yields extracted from them even further.

Useful Versatility

On top of juicing the 8008 offers a few versatile options through an included homogenising blank. This can be swapped in for the juicing screen and allows foods to be ground, mixed and minced. With the help of 5 different attachable nozzles this allows the 8008 to produce a huge variety of foods such as nut butters, dough, minced meat, ground coffee and sorbet.

Compact Design

Much like the 8006, the 8008 has been designed to have a small footprint in a kitchen. Its compact body shape keeps it light and easy to manoeuvre while also not cluttering any kitchen countertop. This juicer also has an improved build quality and its parts have been made from a range of high-quality plastics including Tritan and Ultem.

*Please note that the packaging may state 8228 with the 2 representing that it is 220v which is suitable for use in the UK and Europe. Apart from that this is the same as the 8008 in every way.
