The 8-litre pressure cooker from Kuhn Rikon is robust, to say the least. Designed for professional chefs and home foodies that have to batch cook. Kuhn Rikon has integrated several pieces of technology to make the whole process of cooking simple. The Duromatic Hotel pressure cooker has two pressure settings, this will allow you to cook safely at a low or high pressure just by adjusting the heat. At 5.8 psi the valve will increase in height and you will see the first red ring. This pressure is mainly used for cooking food such as fish, rice, lentils and most fruit. At 11.6 psi, the second red ring, the pressure is ideal for pulses, meat and root vegetables.
When the food is cooked the pressure can be released by pushing the valve back down to its original position. The lid can only be removed once all the pressure has been released, this is Kuhn Rikon's handy locking system which helps prevent injuries.
